Are there Prizes? Yes! we have two prize bundles (pictured)- 1st place incudes a brand new Oliso travel iron- both prizes include fabrics, and patterns! Prizes are awarded to the entries with the most votes, so get your friends to vote!
How do I enter? There are two ways to enter.
You can enter in person by bringing your quilt containing the mistake into the shop during the entry week- where we'll take a picture, and have you fill out a form with the story behind it, and give you your entry reward (aka a 25% off your own shopping spree!)
You can enter online, by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Mistaeks happen!". Send us a picture of your quilt/mistake, plus the story behind it. You'll know we've received it when we send you back your 25% off coupon for our website.
All entries must be received between the dates of March 18th- 22nd 2025.
How do we win? By popular vote in the contest! Visit this page while the contest is running (March 25th- 27th), we'll have a numbered picture of each quilt/mistake, plus a paraphrased blurb about the story behind it, and you, your friends, and anyone else you rope into this will vote for your favorite one!
What qualifies as a mistake? Anything in, or relating to your finished quilt that wasn't intended! Maybe a block is facing the wrong direction, or you cut everything to the wrong size had had to work it into the design, maybe you used the wrong side of the fabric, maybe one half square triangle is facing the wrong direction and you didn't notice until the quilt was bound and finished, maybe your color choices lead you to realize the recipient was colorblind! It's pretty open ended so long as it pertains to the quilt.
Do we get anything for entering? Yes! each person who enters receives a 25% off coupon for their own personal shopping spree! In store entries receive the coupon in person, online entries receive a coupon redeemable on our website. Coupons will not apply to pre-orders, batting, classes, or long arm quilting.
If I win, how do I get my prize? You can come grab it from the store during normal shop hours, or we can ship it to you (winners are responsible for the cost of shipping). We'll hold onto the prizes for three months before we consider them forfeited.

Every fall (usually October) we hold this week long, (online and in store!) event, celebrating another year in business. There are week long sales, mystery quilt patterns ( our 10th year mystery quilt pictured above), all ending with an in store evening party (with cupcakes and everything!) |
