Clue Eleven: You will be making eight of each. General instructions: Read all instructions thoroughly before sewing anything. Use a ¼” seam allowance. Sew your fabrics right sides together. WOF= Width of Fabric. HST= Half Square Triangle. Use the images to ensure correct placement, and directions. If you’re spending too much time with “jack the seam ripper” it might be time to take a break! Needed Fabric: Fabric A: 1 /2 yard Needed Clues: sixteen of the 4 ½” squares made for Clue one. Cutting:  Sew eight of the rectangles from A to the right side of squares from Clue one. Press seams.  They will all measure 4 ½” x 12 ½”. Sew the other eight rectangles from A to the left of the squares from Clue one. Press seams.  These, will also measure 4 ½” x 12 ½”. And your done! (at least until next week). CC2026 P.I.C. Clue Ten: Make 12 General instructions: Read all instructions thoroughly before sewing anything. Use a ¼” seam allowance. Sew your fabrics right sides together. WOF= Width of Fabric. HST= Half Square Triangle. Use the images to ensure correct placement, and directions. If you’re spending too much time with “jack the seam ripper” it might be time to take a break! Fabrics needed: None! Just grab the squares we just finished trimming from clue 9 (last week) Cutting: None! (isn’t it easy this week?)  Grab your square from clue nine- and sew them together in sets of two.  Press seams. You should have twenty four sets resembling the image Now you get to sew the sets of two together to make twelve windmill blades. They will measure 4 ½” square, and resemble the image. You should have twelve.  And your done!

Sew your fabrics right sides together. Press towards the darker fabric. Use the images to ensure correct placement and directions. WOF= Width of Fabric. Needed Fabrics: Nothing ! just grab the pieced triangles from clue 5, and the extended triangle from clue 7.  Grab your pieced triangles from clue 5- and the extended triangles from clue 7. You’re going to sew them together to make forty-eight squares.  Trimming: Since this is a weird variation of a quarter square triangle- we’re going to trim them up a bit differently than normal:  Start by lining your ruler up against the “rectangle” from A and trimming to 2 ½”.  Now twist the unit one side over (clockwise) and trim I ¼” from where the triangles meet in the center.  Flip it over 180 degrees- and trim to 2 ½” ( from the edge you just cut). And you’re done! There should be no need to trim up that 4th edge (we want to maintain those measurements as they are!) You should have 48 of these little guys, measuring 2 ½”. CC2026 P.I.C. Clue Eight: Make 16 Fabric Needed for this clue: Fabric A: 3/8 of a yard Additionally: Grab all sixteen of the flying geese from clue 2.  Go grab the flying geese made for Clue 2. Sew the strips to the bottom of the Flying geese, as pictured. Press seams. That’s it…that’s all…you’re done. You will have sixteen of these, and they measure 8 ½” x 12 ½” square.
